APHL respects the privacy of its’ clients and understands the importance of securing the data we collect. Our employees comply with the privacy laws and follow the guidelines of this policy. This policy will outline the types of information we collect, as well as how it is collected and used.
What Is Personal Information
Personal Information is any information about an identifiable individual. It includes but is not limited to:

· SIN (Optional - See below)
· Bank account info
· Employment Info
Providing your Social Insurance Number is optional. However, most credit agencies use the SIN to uniquely identify individuals when performing credit checks. If you do not with to provide your SIN it may affect the speed and accuracy with which we can process your application.
How We Collect and Use Information
Information will only be collected with the consent of the individual. It may be collected in the following ways:

· Subsidy Applications
· Consumer agencies such as credit bureaus
· Financial Institutions
· Contact Information Forms
Information collected will be used only as required to fulfill our services and complete transactions. This will include but may not be limited to:
· Process applications
· Process credit and background checks
· Process payments
· Communication with the individual
Quality of Information
APHL will periodically review it ensure it’s accuracy and still required. It is the responsibility of the individual to advise APHL of any changes to their personal information. To update or correct your information we can reached at any of the “Contact Us’ methods listed below.
Security
APHL is committed to securing the privacy of your personal information. All information retained in our database is encrypted. Access to information is restricted to only those APHL personnel requiring access to complete their job.
We do not sell personal information to 3rd parties. Some information may be shared with 3rd parties, only as permitted by law and only to provide services to our clients. These would include financial institutions for the processing of payments and credit agencies for the completion of credit checks.
Retention and Disposal
We retain your personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to complete services and transactions related to the individual. When no longer required, all documents will be shredded by APHL staff. All data retained in our database is encrypted and immediately deleted when no longer required.
Access To Information
You may contact us at any time to review, correct or update your personal information. You may withdraw consent to retain some of your personal information but please note that removal of some information may affect our ability to perform some functions such as process applications and process rent reviews.
All requests to access your personal data will be authenticated to validate the identity of the individual requesting access.
